I'm Jasmin “Jess Davy” Alibegić, a producer, mixing and mastering engineer, and the guy behind Peak Attack Studios. For more than 20 years I've been taking raw performances and turning them into records that hit hard and sound great everywhere, from earbuds to car stereos to TV speakers.

I grew up around music production, and by 2010 I knew it was going to be more than a hobby. I learned the craft by doing it, over and over, with bands, in rehearsal rooms and studios. Along the way, mentorship from producer Jay Maas had a strong influence on how I think about records. After finishing my degree in multimedia production at IAM in Ljubljana, I spent almost a decade working full-time in professional audio, mostly in broadcast, where I mixed more than 4,500 TV promos and trailers. The deadlines were tight, the specs were strict, and every mix had to be right the first time. That taught me speed, precision, and how to make decisions that stick.

Today I bring both worlds together at Peak Attack Studios: the discipline of broadcast post-production and the instincts of a musician. My main focus is music production, mixing and mastering. Whether that means tracking a band, building a mix around the song, getting a master ready for streaming and physical release, or helping shape the record into the one you're actually hearing in your head, the goal is the same: make the music as strong as it can be without losing what makes it yours. I also still work in audio post-production, including editing, sound design and spec-ready mixes for TV and video. Artists from Europe, the USA, Brazil, Japan, Belarus and Israel have trusted me with their music.

A great mix isn't there to show off the engineer; it's there to make the song hit harder. I start with the performance, the arrangement and who you are as an artist. I want the production to feel intentional and powerful without polishing away what made the recording exciting in the first place. Being a musician first shapes how I listen. I'm always paying attention to groove, dynamics, feel, and how the players lock together, because that's where records come alive.
